What Is Myopia?
Myopia, commonly known as nearsightedness, is a refractive error that affects how clear your distance vision is.
This condition usually develops during childhood and can worsen over time. It occurs when the eyeball grows too long, or the cornea grows too steep, affecting how light focuses on the retina.
High myopia can increase the risk of several issues, like glaucoma and retinal detachment.
